Shimmy LaRoux is a Chicago burlesque performer, showgirl, producer, teacher, and model. Crowned Miss Burlesque World 2022, Shimmy is a 4-time inductee into the world's Top 50 Most Influential Burlesque Performers. She is also an International Playboy Playmate (Denmark, January 2022), Cover Girl (Denmark, June 2022), and 2-time FHM Cover Model (South Africa and Australia 2021). In addition to her accolades on stage, Shimmy holds degrees in Anthropology, Sociology, and Project Management. These degrees have enabled her to spend over 15 years in agency advertising and product development, working with brands such as Google, Microsoft, Ford, SC Johnson, and the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
